My interest in astrology has been life long. I grew up in the midwest with lovingly pragmatic parents who both worked in education and academia. They’ve generously supported my interest in the Esoteric Arts while offering “a healthy dose” of skeptical analysis. This encouraged me to pursue my occult interests while remaining grounded in reason. I endeavor to apply a scientific lens and a bring “critical research perspective” to my work, with the goal of accumulating empirical evidence, in an esoteric field of study. I aim to help clients make the link for themselves between the profound and the practical.

Using this grounded approach helps me work as a translator between the client and the cosmos, allowing me to convey the metaphysical through metaphor. I help translate arcane language into accessible dialogue, and remove fear around astrology by converting it into fun— humor helps healing and fosters greater understanding. I help clients find the “of course” in the “occult” by transforming confusion into clarity, and by securing surreal concepts in concrete reality. I hope to offer a ladder to help clients reach the stars. For me Astrology is both a science and an form of art.

Astrological Training: Mentored under Heidi Rose Robbins since 2016, I am a immensely proud to be a member of her Astrology team starting in 2021. I also study with The Lighted House School of Esoteric Studies: Founded by Meire Santos & Bruna Maia. Particular areas of interest within astrological studies include: Psychological Astrology, Pagan, Indigenous, and Non-European Cosmology, Feminist & Gender-Fluid Archetypal Astrology. Further interests in related metaphysical and historical studies include: Historical Folk Magic (Celtic, Norse, Indo-European & Non-European traditions), Global Mythology, and Hoodoo-Voodoo Practices & Traditions, under Lala Intuari & Nefertiti Moor. My favorite fields of the “hard sciences” include: Astronomy, Astrophysics, Quantum and Particle Physics. I am especially inspired by the works of Roger Penrose, Rupert Sheldrake, and the late Stephen Hawking.

Additionally, I am a Jupiter-in-Pisces Artistic Creator: a writer, performer, director, and artist. My creative work as an actor has been seen on Broadway & Off Broadway, in several television series, and on the silver screen working with the Coen brothers. My literary work is repped by CAA, where my writing specializes in Scorpio/8th house themes. And I offer Cancerian-esque creative encouragement in all my writing, directing, and producing projects—which allows me to “build a lighted house” (the esoteric soul phrase for Cancer), and create a safe atmosphere for brave artistic expression. I also offer coaching to individual clients and companies in the tv, film, and theatrical worlds across the US and internationally.

I am honored to share my astological practice with others, as it has directly helped me achieve greater awarness and empathy for myself and others. It has aided my ability to process and integrate grief and trauma, supported my resilience, and helped to restore my faith. There is no ceiling to the amount of insight one can gain from studying and working with Astrology. It offers a lifelong, limitless supply of inspiration, and opportunity for greater self and collective awareness.

Formal Education & Training: I received my MFA in ACTING & Classical Storytelling from The Old Globe Theatre/University of San Diego MFA Program, my BA from Knox College. I graduated from all four levels at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Improv & Comedy School in Los Angeles, and completed an intensive and immersive French Studies Program during my junior year of college, as an international exchange student a Le CLA, in Besancon, France.

Originally from Galesburg Illinois, I’m based out of Los Angeles where I reside with my husband Scott, and our 17 yr old cat, Dewey.

About Caitlin…

  • Astrology is where the mathematical intersects the artistic…

Where the scientific meets the spiritual…

And where the ordinary can befriend the extraordinary.

Astrology teaches us how to connect our inner and outer awareness into one “unified field theory of self” within in our collective existence. Through Astrology we learn how to meet, reintroduce, and integrate aspects of our inner cosmos with the outer universe.

Additional Support

The fields of Astrology and Psychology are growing increasingly more intwined. Psychology programs throughout the United States, particularly, those which employ the study of Jungian Archetypes, are including Astrology as a complimentary subject and filed of study. The two fields of study share a great deal in common and compliment each other well, both in terms of subject matter and by their respective commitment to examine the human experience from a multi-layered perspective. Combining the two fields together offers enhanced support.

For clients who are seeking such additional support, Scott Ferrara, (my husband) is a certified Organic Intelligence® coach, and Fitzmaurice Voicework® instructor. He is approaching completion of his certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP™), while completing his second master’s in Psychology at Antioch University. Additionally, Scott holds a MFA from the Old Globe/USD Graduate program, and a BFA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Scott approach holistically connects the cognitive, behavioral, and somatic modalities — which works in perfect harmony or “conjunction with” Astrology. Scott supports his clients connect their inner experiences to the outer world, just as astrology helps connect the outer universe to the inner cosmos.
